Friday, August 20, 2010 at 8:27AM the fabulous jen from green wedding shoes made an inspiration board a ways back based on the movie '500 days of summer'. it was darling and inspiring, and serendipity magazine jumped on it and asked a team of wedding magicians to put together a shoot for their summer issue. there's lots of controversy amongst the bloggers/blog readers about these sorts of shoots. my thoughts: who cares? as long as full disclosure is given that this isn't a real wedding, i think it's just another source of ideas for brides/grooms to-be and a great creative outlet for wedding talent. it was tons of fun for me to photograph a couple styled to perfection with none of the constraints that a wedding day brings. and the stylists/design talent that put together everything else got to do so without having anyone but themselves to please....what could possibly be bad about that?! complete creative freedom without the pressure of a wedding day equals FUN! here's what we came up with.... (by the way, although this couple is gorgeous, they are not professional models, nor are they an actual couple....that makes me especially proud of them for doing such an incredible job as our "models"). enjoy! xoxo

Monday, July 5, 2010 at 8:00AM you know all of the amazing succulents and flowers from lara and michael's wedding...those came from the crazy-talented britton of tend living. she's also the one that makes these incredible orbs. on top of being ridiculously creative and inspiring she's also the sweetest person you could ever hope to meet. and you know how sometimes people say that and you think "how many times have i heard that!" and then dismiss it thinking they're probably just so-so nice. i'm not just saying it- she's really the sweetest person i know. and she does weddings! lucky us!

Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 8:26AM If I were planning a wedding the title of this post would give me heart palpitations. Monique Lhullier is on of my all-time favorite wedding dress designers. I can't say enough about the dresses, they just take my breath away. If asked to imagine my perfect wedding dress it would no doubt be a dress by Monique....or maybe a combination of her dresses (always a fan of changing for the dance party!).
