HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU BOOK A YEAR?

I book no more than 25 weddings a year.  This enables me to provide all of my clients with the best possible customer service- before, during and after their wedding.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS AND PORTRAIT SESSIONS?

Yes Yes Yes!  I love traveling and being inspired photographically by new environments (and so do my second photographers).  I love exploring new locations, scouting for your event the day before and capturing incredible images of your dream wedding in your dream location.

HOW MUCH OF AN INVESTMENT IS SARAH YATES PHOTOGRAPHY?

Wedding coverage starts at $3900 and portrait sessions start at $375- worth every last penny for photos that you will love and will bring back the memories you will cherish for a lifetime.

WHAT'S INVOLVED IN BOOKING YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?

To book your date and ensure that I will be photographing your wedding, a contract and 50% deposit are required.  I book on a first come, first serve basis, upon receipt of a signed contract and deposit.  Please keep in mind that I restrict the amount of weddings that I photograph each year and dates are limited.

WHAT'S INVOLVED IN BOOKING YOU FOR A PORTRAIT SESSION?

To reserve your session date a 50% deposit is required.  If for some reason you must reschedule a $100 fee will be incurred and the deposit will be put towards your new date.  Please make sure to be on time to your session as it is not guaranteed that I will be able to stay longer (and the sun may very well set before we get all of the amazing photos you are wanting!)

DO YOU DO ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS, TRASH-THE-DRESS SESSIONS, PHOTO-BOOTHS AND ALL OF THE OTHER FUN STUFF WE MAY WANT? 

Yup.  You name it, it's probably on our price list (contact us to receive a full price list).  If there's something you want that's not on there- let us know and we'll figure out if we can do it!

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

I currently use Canon professional gear.  I love it pretty hard.  

WHO WILL PHOTOGRAPH OUR WEDDING WITH YOU?

 I have a few second photographers that work with me, including my amazing boyfriend Lou Mora (loumora.com).  Most of the time Lou shoots with me, but on the occasion that he is booked or traveling for a commercial job I have some other fantastic photographers that I work with.  I am 100% confident in the ability of all of my second photographers to produce gorgeous photos that are complimentary to my own.

WILL WE GET THE HIGH RESOLUTION FILES (THE DIGITAL NEGATIVES) TO KEEP?

Heck yes.  On your one year anniversary we will mail you a delightful little present that includes your digital negatives.  At that point you will be able to print them, scrapbook with them, blow them up and wallpaper your house with them....they're yours!  You'll still be able to order fine art prints, wedding albums, etc from our studio.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR YOU TO WORK YOUR MAGIC ON OUR PHOTOS AND POST THEM ONLINE?

It takes between 3-5 weeks for me to edit and adjust all of your photos and upload them to your private website to view and ooh and ahhh over.  Please understand that I am a control freak who wants to make sure that every last photo is perfect before you ever see it, and this sort of dedication and obsessiveness takes time. I promise you when you see the photos you will understand...amazing things come to those who wait! 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE OUR PRINTS OR ALBUM?

Print orders are processed on a first come, first serve basis and generally take between 2-5 weeks for editing, printing, and delivery (depending on how busy we are).  Album orders are also processed on a first come first serve basis and take approximately 6-8 weeks to receive after the final approval is made.  Albums are custom designed and some of them are shipped outside of the country or handcrafted so we appreciate your patience as you wait to receive the album that you will covet for a lifetime.

*During the holidays additional time is required due to the high volume of orders.  Please plan accordingly.  Print orders received after November 15 are not guaranteed to arrive in time for Christmas.  Album orders that are approved after October 15 are not guaranteed to arrive in time for Christmas.  Thank you for placing your orders well in advance to accommodate for this.

WHAT KINDS OF ALBUMS DO YOU OFFER?  

We offer Leather Craftsmen, Queensberry, and La-Vie albums as well as a variety of coffee table books.  Please see the "Goods" section to learn more.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLE?

Awesome, with a touch of Rad.  OR:  modern, fun, and eclectic with a splash of commercial and fashion influence mixed in.... of course it's photojournalism too, it's a wedding!

DO YOU HAVE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WHAT TO WEAR TO OUR ENGAGEMENT OR PORTRAIT SESSION?

Yes, I recommend that you wear what's comfortable and most importantly, YOU!   For engagement sessions I recommend wearing something sassy and bringing a change of clothes that is more casual.  Dresses, heels, bright colors, jeans- they're all great!  Avoid dressing in one color from head to toe and being too matchy- matchy.  If you're self conscious about your arms or legs, cover them up so that you'll feel your best during your session.   Any other questions and concerns, contact us! 

DO YOU OFFER GIFT CERTIFICATES?

Yes, and if you'd like we can set up a "registry" website where your guests can contribute to your wedding package, album or prints.

DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

Yes, we are covered by a comprehensive plan designed specifically for wedding and portrait photographers through Hartford Insurance.  

WE LOVE YOUR WORK BUT WE HAVE SPECIFIC IDEAS ABOUT WHAT WE WANT.  WILL YOU WORK WITH US?

Absolutely.  Our goal is to make sure that you get the perfect photos that represent you and your style. 

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF PHOTOGRAPHING WEDDINGS?

By far the best thing about being a wedding photographer is the opportunity to meet and befriend incredible people.  I absolutely adore my clients and I feel ridiculously fortunate to be able to take part in their wedding day and to witness the beautiful moments of love and closeness between couples and their families.
